Spring onions and lime

  • 6 spring onions
  • 1 lime, juiced

Healthy canapé alert! This spring onions and lime recipe is great as a snack or side, but I mostly like to make it as a quick and tasty canapé for people to nibble on before the main food event. The spring onions take on a unique noodle like texture, which is so delicious. The green leafy part of the spring onion also contains lots of valuable nutrients so always try to use when you can, and this is a great way to sneak them into your diet!


  1. Heat a large frying pan on a medium heat. Do not add any oil.
  2. Wash the spring onions and put them straight into the pan, no need to cut anything!
  3. Cook the spring onions for about 15- 20 minutes until they have started to brown.
  4. Pops onto a plate to server and squeeze over lots of fresh lime.
