Pear, Cucumber, Celery and Pineapple smoothie

  • 1 pear, de-cored
  • ½ cucumber
  • 1 celery
  • ½ cup pineapple

Of all the healthy smoothie recipes this Pear Cucumber Celery and Pineapple smoothie has to be one of my favourites. Sometimes we all need to give our body a fresh start and this super healthy smoothie recipe is the perfect way to do that. Cucumbers are a great thing to put in your mouth – this watery vegetable is packed with minerals, vitamins and electrolytes which are easily absorbed into your system. The erepsin (a digestive enzyme) contained in the cucumber not only helps to break down protein but also acts as an anti-parasitic and helps to cleanse the intestine – which all makes for a very healthy gut.  The pears are high in fibre and contain a wealth of nutrients, including a significant amount of vitamin C, which amoungst other things triggers the production of serotonin that can help to lift your mood. The notable amounts of vitamin K in the celery and pears is also great for healthy skin, hair and nails. So as you can see this is a nutritional power bullet for your system and its delicate yet indulgent flavour is completely addictive too!


  1. Make sure you chop up all the ingredients as this makes it easier for you to blend them. Then pop everything in your blender and process until smooth.
  2. I chose not to add any liquid as cucumbers contain a lot of water so I find this is the right consistency for me, but you may wish to add some filtered water if you prefer a thinner consistency.
  3. Once you have blended all the ingredients together serve and enjoy immediately!
