Apple, blackberry and mixed spice smoothie

Prep Time: 5 mins


  • 2 apples, de-cored (try to leave the skin on as removing it can take away more then half of the apple’s fibre, vitamin C and iron)
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • I tsp mixed spice

Mixed spice is often a forgotten and therefore underused spice. It really adds something totally unique to this smoothie. So while I was using up all the lovely apples and blackberries that are in season at the moment in my smoothies, I thought I’d add in some mixed spice. And the result is really amazing. It’s literally a liquid apple pie in your mouth. And that’s got to be good. Behold, the apple blackberry and mixed spice smoothie.


  1. Put everything through the blender, stir, sip and enjoy immediately!
  2. If you like it a little thinner then add some filtered water and blend again.
