Date, banana and cardamom smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 bananas, frozen
  • 2 dates, de-stoned
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • Cinnamon to taste

The date is the dark lord of the health world. They are shown to help with constipation, improve sexual stamina, relieve hangovers and reduce night blindness. Which presumably will be useful when you’re stumbling around drunk in the dark looking for dates to relieve tomorrow’s forthcoming hangover. In addition to all of these key health benefits, dates work in taste harmony with bananas to create something so delicious it tastes like a naughty milkshake, but of course its really very good for you. The flavours in this date banana and cardamom smoothie are a magical blend of the exotic, comforting, and indulgent. Providing the perfect transition from summer drinks into autumn.

Method

  1. Throw that lot into the blender and process until smooth!
